Follies Every three years since 1947, JWL has presented a "Follies" production. These are musical revue-type shows highlighting not only the theatrical talents of members, but also members of the Enid community. Each Follies has earned Junior Welfare League of Enid $25,000 to $32,000. Proceeds from the production benefit a variety of local community service organizations. Many Follies have commemorated special events for JWL and Enid. "Stir Crazy Follies" was produced in the 1984 - 1985 year to spotlight JWL's first cookbook, Stir Ups. The 1999 - 2000 league year celebrated the new millennium and 70 years of community service with "It's a Celebration! Follies 2000." To market
and advertise JWL's newest cookbook, Cooking By the Bootstraps, "Bootstrap
Follies" was produced during 2002 - 2003. "Bootstrap Follies"
was a history-making project in that it was an entirely local production.
With the help of a local producer, Tom Lentz, Junior Welfare League
funded, wrote, choreographed, directed, costumed, created scene and
props, and starred in our very own Follies production.
